GLOBAL EDUCATION CONCLAVE 2025 AT CGC MOHALI
The Global Education Conclave 2025, held at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali (CGC Mohali), etched an indelible mark on the global academic landscape, bringing together over 100 distinguished delegates from more than 50 nations. This colossal intellectual congregation served as a nexus of global thought leadership, catalyzing dialogues on education, sustainability, digital transformation, and international collaborations.
For decades, students from Punjab have sought international education; today, the world turns to Punjab as a hub for global academic exchange. This conclave, hosted at our home—CGC Mohali (Jhanjeri), embodied the CGC’s growing prominence in the international education landscape, making it a melting pot of cultures, intellect, and innovation.
The conclave was graced by eminent diplomats and envoys from the world’s most influential corridors, including representatives from the Kenya High Commission, Embassy of Venezuela, Cameroon High Commission, Embassy of Ukraine, the High Commission of the Republic of Togo, High Commission of the Republic of South Africa, Embassy of Austria and Embassy of Mexico. Their esteemed presence, coupled with delegates from the USA, UK, Australia, France, Venezuela, the Philippines, South Korea, and several other nations, underscored the conclave’s global stature and its pivotal role in shaping transnational educational synergies.
The conclave’s overarching theme, “Leading with Purpose: Global Collaborations for a Sustainable, Inclusive, and Technologically Advanced Future,” set the stage for transformative discussions and groundbreaking initiatives. Thought leaders, policy architects, and academic stalwarts engaged in riveting deliberations on the digitalization of education, cross-cultural competence, sustainability-driven research, and the evolution of higher learning institutions in an AI-driven world.
As an institution revered for its NAAC A+ accreditation and pioneering educational initiatives, CGC Mohali orchestrated this conclave with a resolute vision—to create a fertile ground for intellectual convergence and foster high-impact collaborations that transcend borders.
A defining highlight of the conclave was the formalization of strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between CGC Mohali and leading international institutions. ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ, 22 ਅਗਸਤ- ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਵੱਡਾ ਘਾਟਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦੇ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਕਾਮੇਡੀਅਨ ਜਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਭੱਲਾ ਦਾ ਅੱਜ ਦਿਹਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ 65 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
ਉਹ ਲਗਭਗ 1 ਮਹੀਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ (23 ਅਗਸਤ) ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਡਿਪਟੀ ਮੇਅਰ ਕੁਲਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੇਦੀ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।ਜਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਭੱਲਾ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬੀ ਦੋਸਤ ਬਾਲ ਮੁਕੁੰਦ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਘਾਟੇ ਦੀ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਭਰਪਾਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ। ਸਾਡਾ ਚਾਲੀ ਸਾਲ ਪੁਰਾਣਾ ਸਾਥ ਰਿਹਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭਰਾ ਦਾ ਦਰਜਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਇਹ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਦੋ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਮਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ ਹਾਂ। ਉਹ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਫ਼ਿਲਮ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾਮਾ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਲਗਭਗ ਇਕ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਸਨ।ਜਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਭੱਲਾ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 4 ਮਈ 1960 ਨੂੰ ਦੋਰਾਹਾ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੈਸਰ ਵੀ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ 1988 ਵਿਚ ‘ਛਣਕਟਾ’ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ ਕਾਮੇਡੀਅਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਰੀਅਰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਦੁੱਲਾ ਭੱਟੀ’ ਨਾਲ ਅਦਾਕਾਰ ਬਣੇ।

ਇਸ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਇਤਿਹਾਸਕ ਪਲ ਦੇ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ, ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਆਫ਼ ਕਾਲਜਜ਼, ਝੰਜੇਰੀ ਨੇ ਰਸਮੀ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਰੂਪ ਸੀਜੀਸੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਹ ਐਲਾਨ ਜੇਡਬਲਯੂ ਮੈਰੀਅਟ, ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਇਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੀ 25+ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਮੋੜ ਸੀ। ਕਾਲਜ ਤੋਂ ਇਕ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਨਵੀਨਤਮ, ਸਵਾਇਤ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਤੱਕ ਦੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਵੀਂ ਪੀੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਭਣ ਦਾ ਪੱਕਾ ਇਰਾਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਹ ਤਬਦੀਲੀ ਉਦਯੋਗ-ਜੁੜੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮਾਡਲ ਵੱਲ ਇੱਕ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਕਦਮ ਹੈ। ਸੀਜੀਸੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਏਆਈ-ਨਿਰੀਤ ਵਿਕਾਸ, ਟੈਕ-ਪਹਿਲੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਨਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਬਣਨ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਜਿੱਥੇ 90% ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਨਵੇਂ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਅਯੋਗ ਮੰਨੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਥੇ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦਾ ਕਰਿਕੁਲਮ ਜਿੰਦਗੀਚਾਲੀ ਉਦਯੋਗਕ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਰਪੋਰੇਟ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਰਟੀਫਿਕੇਸ਼ਨ ‘ਤੇ ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਹੈ। ਇਥੇ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਦੀ 50:50 ਮਾਡਲ ਵਾਲੀ ਵਿਧੀ ਅਪਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਅਧਿਆਪਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਯੋਗਕ ਮਾਹਿਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਸਿਰਫ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਲੀਡਰਸ਼ਿਪ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਯੋਗਕ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਹਸਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਸਨ:

Founder Chancellor, S. Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, ਜੋ ਇਕ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਸਮਾਜਸੇਵੀ ਹਨ, ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ:
“ਇਹ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੇ ਪਰਤੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਵਾਲੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਹਰੇਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੀਜੀਸੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਮਕਸਦ ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹਰੇਕ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਨੂੰ, ਚਾਹੇ ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਪਿਛੋਕੜ ਤੋਂ ਹੋਵੇ, ਸਿੱਖਣ, ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਣ-ਯੋਗ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲੇ।”
Mr. Arsh Dhaliwal, Managing Director, ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਤਜਰਬੇ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ:
“ਅਸੀਂ ਇਕ ਐਸਾ ਅਧੁਨਿਕ, ਟੈਕ-ਸੰਬੰਧਤ ਕਰਿਕੁਲਮ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਨਵੀਨਤਾ, ਉਦਯੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਰੁਜ਼ਗਾਰ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ।”
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਧਿਆਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹੀ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਮਿਲੇ, ਇਹ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਣਾ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ।
“ਅਸੀਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਧਿਆਨ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹੀ ₹75,000 ਤੋਂ ₹1,00,000 ਦੀ ਇੰਟਰਨਸ਼ਿਪ ਸਟੀਪੈਂਡ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ।”
Dr. Sushil Prashar, Executive Director, DCPD ਨੇ 50:50 ਲਰਨਿੰਗ ਮਾਡਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
“ਅਸੀਂ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਂਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸਿਰਫ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਰੀਅਲ-ਟਾਈਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟਾਂ, ਬੋਰਡਰੂਮ ਕੈਸ ਸਟੱਡੀਜ਼ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਈਵ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖਣਗੇ।”
ਸੀਜੀਸੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਸਗੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇੰਸਟਿਟਿਊਟ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ-ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੁਨਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਖੇਤਰੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਅਤੇ ਵੈਕੇਸ਼ਨਲ ਕੋਰਸ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ:
- Startup India, Skill India ਅਤੇ Digital India ਸਕੀਮਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਢਾਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ
- MSME ਖੇਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਡਿਜੀਟਲ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰਕੀਟਿੰਗ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ
- Tier 2 ਅਤੇ 3 ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਫ੍ਰੀਲਾਂਸਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ
- NEP 2020 ਦੇ ਲਕਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ
